The Trustees who administer the charity give grants and other benefits to help people in need. The Trustees have to be satisfied that a real need exists.
Help can take the form of goods or services, which are needed to reduce hardship or distress for individuals or families. Also grants are occasionally made to organisations that specifically help the people of Byfleet & West Byfleet and all those in the Ancient Parish of Byfleet.
Recent help has included groceries, bedding, children’s & disabled person’s goods and referrals to local food-banks, community furniture stores and the Citizens Advice Bureau. Community grants have been made to Woking Hospice, Woking Furniture Store and other local groups.
The Charity provides monthly payments to beneficiaries. The level of the payment is reviewed annually. Support is given both to the elderly and those in need below pensionable age.
The Charity also funds a number of Carelines, an emergency call system, for those who need it.
