  • Dental & medical costs

  • Property adaptations or upgrades
  • Costs you have already paid for

Who can apply online?

  • You must have lived in Byfleet or West Byfleet for more than 12 months (see map here)
  • You must be in receipt of a means-tested benefit

What if I don’t meet the criteria?

Grant support may still be available if you are currently living in Byfleet or West Byfleet. If you have just moved to the area or have a low income please contact the Grants Manager for further information.

How to apply

You will need to fill in the application form and upload images of supporting documents including:

  • Proof of address
  • Proof of means-tested benefit

  • Universal Credit
  • Pension Credit
  • Housing Benefit
  • Council Tax Support
  • Tax Credits
  • Income-based Job Seekers Allowance (JSA)
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Income Support

How to turn your Universal Credit award into a PDF

1. Go to the sign‑in page and use your Government Gateway credentials.

2. Go to the “Payments” section once you’re logged in. This shows a list of your payment statements.

3. Click your latest payment.

4. You should see a “Print this statement” option or your browser or

On a computer press Ctrl + P (Windows) or Cmd + P (Mac).

On mobile browsers, use your browser menu and choose Print / Share → Print

5. In the print dialog, select “Save as PDF” / “Print to PDF” / “Microsoft Print to PDF” as the printer.
This saves the statement as a PDF file to your device.

6. Choose where to save the file and give it a clear name (e.g. UC‑Statement‑Dec2025.pdf).

Applications can be submitted by someone else on your behalf. Alternatively, Byfleet Outreach Citizens Advice are available to help. The Outreach is open every Wednesday, 12-2.30pm at Byfleet Methodist Church, Rectory Lane, Byfleet KT14 7LL – no appointment necessary.

Foodbank Vouchers

Foodbank vouchers can be requested by email via the Grants Manager or by telephone: 01932 340532.

Byfleet Foodbank is open every Wednesday 12-2.30pm at Byfleet Methodist Church, Rectory Lane, Byfleet KT14 7LL.

Please note, we do not issue supermarket vouchers or food directly from our office address at Stoop Court.
